ACFE Membership Structure & Categories

ACFE MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE & CATEGORIES

The ACFE International and the local Chapter offers different participation categories to meet the resources, needs and objectives of our members. To enjoy the full range of benefits members are encouraged to take membership on both the local and international levels.

SA Chapter Membership
The ACFE strongly recommends that you join the local chapter. Chapter participation gives you the opportunity to meet other anti-fraud professionals who are facing the same challenges you are. Sharing insights, techniques and experience, in addition to promoting fraud awareness in your community, is invaluable to the global fight against fraud.

How to Apply for Membership of the SA Chapter:
Step 1: Application Form
Applications can be submitted by fax or e-mail. Do ensure that you fill out all fields.
Step 2: Supporting Information
Where applicable please furnish all supporting information together with your application form. This may include:
• International ACFE Membership Number
• Proof of full time enrolment for Student applicants
Step 3: Payment
Once your application has been approved an invoice will be issued for the application fee and annual dues. Payment can be done online or by EFT or direct deposit.
Do note that your membership number or invoice number should be used as reference for all subscription fee payments

Categories of Chapter Membership:

Affiliate – Local membership only.

Affiliates of the Chapter are those, regardless of their field of endeavor or experience, who desire to align themselves with the ACFE Chapter. Affiliates should have an intellectual interest in the field of fraud examination and a desire to be part of the fight against fraud and white-collar crime.
Cost: Affiliate membership:
Joining Fee: R 250.00
Annual Subscription Fee: R 1750.00

Student Affiliate – Local membership only.

Entry level discounted membership granted to those who wish to become involved on local level but are still students and do not have full time employment. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a recognized college or university-level program and will be required to provide proof of enrolment.
Cost: Student Affiliate membership:
Joining Fee: R 150.00
Annual Subscription Fee: R 250.00

Associate Membership

Limited to individuals currently registered as Associates with the ACFE at International level. Associate Members will be granted Chapter voting rights and the right to hold certain Chapter offices under the terms of the ACFE SA Constitution.
Cost of South African Membership: (in addition to international fees)
Joining Fee: R250.00
Annual Subscription Fee: R 1250.00

Full Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

Limited to individuals who are current CFE Member at International level. Certified Fraud Examiners may hold any Chapter office and have full voting rights.
Cost of South African Membership: (in addition to international fees)
Joining Fee: R 250.00
Annual Subscription Fee: R 660.00
